The ScoobMy Current car, a 2000 Subaru Impreza UK Turbo. This is Currently my second Love (after
the bikeNici of course) I bought her From Town and County Subaru in September 06, trading in The Shed™ for the privilge, which was a sad day, but to be honest, I was better off with the newer car, it was a move away from the Wagon, which could come in so handy sometimes... But with less miles and wear, she handles better, and of course amongst other things, She also has a turbo... She has to date, achived the top speed of 140mph...Currently, she is pretty much standard, save for a set of Scott Lowe rally(slag) mudflaps, and a Prodrive Backbox (no performance gain from the back box, it just brings the scooby warble out a little... Oh and it looks better than the original fit twin pea-shooter...), but I do have big plans for her...When I have the money...

Ok, So I know these pics are rubbish, Well, All except the first one, but, there will be more on the way, now that summer is rolling in, the idea is to get a decent camera and do a shoot somewhere, untill then, You'll just have to make do...The Next bit, is more technical, and serves firstly, to show the world what I want, and 2, as a bit of a reminder for me... Showing the world my goals as it were, I just hope my goals dont get erased like the plans for my mini....Anyone who is not really that into cars should probably look away now...
Phase 1
What I am Planning for her, includes, New Rims, I'm keeping the Old wheels for winter, as they do have winter tyres on them, but I need something a bit grippier for the Summer, I think A set of newage WRX wheels are in order here, I'm gutted though, The wheels I want for her come in 18" only, too big... Bummer... After the wheels, coz to be fair, I need to change them soon... I need A new sound system, as this one is pissing me off, the jury is still out on what to get, but I have a few ideas... and perhaps get something done with the bodywork theres a few dents, stonechips, and the likes kicking about... Impreza Paint is pretty rubbish by all accounts, Ive had Town and County respray the roof and door up untill now.
Phase 2
Phase 2, I Move into the handling. New and better brakes (I want 6-pot AP-racing brakes) New suspension (Few ideas again), Upgraded Anti-roll bar and droplinks, STI bracing struts, considering an antilift kit, but I'm not so sure about that... Also, I'm planning for a Set of Defi Gauges (Dash Mounted) In preperation for phase 3.
Phase 3
Phase 3, We starting getting into engine modifications... not had a lot of thought about the details of this phase yet, but I was having the thought of One of Andy Forrest's Hybrid Turbos and an STI-8 TMIC (Top Mount InterCooler) as opposed to a front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) and also an exhaust system upgrade with a sports Cat instead of a de-cat, this is a decision that I've had to defend to a few people, they sway more towards the de-cat route, but to be fair, the high-flow sports cats that you are getting for the Impreza, will only loose you a few BHP over a full Decat system... And, as I'm not going for big power this is no worries to me... Both are upgrades on what I have now.
And thats mostly it for now, my heart is on the plate now as it were... All going well, she is going to be a weapon by the time I'm finished with her, both on the back roads, and on the track... All work I expect to get done by Russell at BHP Developments, except for a few things, Geometry I will Probably get done by Kev at Town and County, and of course come time, She will get a remap from the Legendary Andy Forrest.
Which is nice...
